Final 4: Theres no cake walk for anyone in this district, there are quality opponents waiting for all the top seeds. Buchtel is the top seed and will make it thought, but Triway has a way of keeping games close and I expect Tham to get passed Field. However they have not seen the athleticism that Buchtel will bring to the table. Norton plays a tough schedule year in and year out, and that needs to be commended. It will help them slip past Canton South not heir way to the districts. Marlington should find themself against Tallmadge, which will be a great game. Marlington probably has enough firepower to get by the Devils in that one. Northwest is the team that I believe could give Buchtel some trouble. They’ve played bigger schools and more athletic teams. They play some complex defenses that always give opponents trouble. They will be playing in the districts I believe.

Outside the Top 4:
I think Tallmadge is a team to keep an eye on. They are pretty young and inexperienced but they have one of the best coaches I know in Brett Bickar, which will always give them a shot. They are led by senior Lizzie Bickar, who puts up great numbers and can help keep her team in any game. The Devils are the team outside my top 4 that I’d say has a shot art making some noise. Canton South is also a team to watch. They came a bucket short of shocking Buchtel last year. The Wildcats have been playing with a new pep in their step the last few years and have a chance at turning some heads.

My Pick: Buchtel. They have the athletes, they have the shooters, they play D. I have the Griffs winning the district. Did I mention they have the best player in the district in Javaan Rogers? She can get buckets, whenever she wants them.
