Waynedale 55 – South Range 41

I said these were the two best teams in the D3 Northeast region a long time ago, now I have to pick just one. I think it’s going to a great one. Both teams will be competitive at state next week. both teams are battle tested and ready for this one. I think Waynedale is playing really sharp right now. They also escaped the injury bug unlike South Range who are without their superstar PG Gabby Lamparty.

Hiland 57 – Wheelersburg 31

This is an easy one for me. Last years regional final Hiland beat Wheelersburg 61-23. Hiland is even more focused and determined after a close call with Fort Frye.

McDonald 58 – Shadyside 50

Friday, March 5th

Laurel 54 – Perry 31

I just believe Laurel is on a mission, and its going to take a special team with a load of talent to stop them. They have been using the upset in last years regional final to make sure that don’t happen again.

Vinton County 54 – Sheridan 37

Napoleon 47 – Norton 35

Napoleon is an immovable object. Ive incorrectly picked against Norton twice already, so maybe I could be wrong again. They upset a more talented team on paper in Granville, but it’s going to take and even bigger effort to top this Napoleon team.

Hoban 59 – GlenOak 46

This one is such a close one. The PG matchup between Karli Anker and Breezie Williams is going to be outstanding. The post battle between Lanae Riley and Jordan Weir will surely be import as well. In the end I think it will be Hoban’s depth that makes the difference. I think the gap in the bench is large and in Hoban’s favor.

  1. Welp you said Jackson was going to win last year and that Hoover had no chance. Then Hoover humiliated them and they didn’t even get 20 points. Let’s see what’s happens this year… y’all keep drinking the cool aid
